This policy explains what InstaLeads Pro (the Chrome extension and this website, run by InstaLeads Pro) collects, why, and the choices you have.
1. What the service does
InstaLeads Pro helps businesses find sales leads on Instagram. When a signed-in user starts a scan, the extension — running in that user's own browser with their own Instagram session — looks at public Instagram profiles and comments the user chose (for example, followers of an account or comments on a post), picks out business profiles and comments that ask about buying, and saves them to that user's private dashboard.
2. Information we collect
About our users (account holders): name, email, company (optional), a hashed password, plan details, sign-in times, the devices (browsers) they connect, and an activity log of what their extension did.
About Instagram accounts found by our users ("leads"): only publicly visible information: Instagram username, display name, business category, follower count, public bio, public business contact details shown on the profile, the public comment that matched the user's keywords, and — if the user's plan includes it — the matching public Google Maps business listing and public contact details shown on the business's own website. By default only business accounts are saved; personal accounts are skipped.
We do not collect private messages, passwords, private profiles' content, or your browsing history. The extension only acts on instagram.com, Google Maps and websites linked from a business profile, and only when a user starts a scan or turns on Auto-watch.
3. How we use it
- To provide the service: run scans, save leads to the user's dashboard, sync settings, and show progress.
- To run accounts: sign-in, plan limits, support, and preventing abuse.
We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or share it with data brokers. Leads saved by a user are visible only to that user (and to our administrators when needed for support or legal reasons).
4. Chrome Web Store user data
The use of information received through the Chrome extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide the extension's single purpose — finding and organizing sales leads — and is transferred only to our own server for that purpose.
5. Storage, retention and security
Data is stored on our server in a private database and sent over HTTPS. Users choose how long leads are kept (30–365 days, 90 by default); older leads are deleted automatically. When a user deletes their account, their leads, lists, devices and settings are deleted with it.
6. Roles and responsibilities
Each user decides which accounts to scan and how to use the leads they collect, and is responsible for doing so lawfully (for example, following anti-spam and data-protection laws and Instagram's terms). We process lead data on our users' behalf.
7. Your rights — including if you were found as a lead
You can ask to see, correct or delete information about you. If your Instagram account appears in our service and you want it removed, use the data request form; we remove that username from all users' data and keep a record so it isn't saved again where possible.
8. Auto Post (Instagram and Facebook publishing)
If you link your Instagram professional account and Facebook Page, we receive from Meta, with your permission, the Page and Instagram account IDs, names, profile pictures and access tokens that let us publish posts you create or schedule. Tokens are stored encrypted and used only to publish your posts and check that the connection works. We do not read your messages, followers or insights. The captions, hashtags, pictures and videos you add are stored to publish them; pictures and videos are served from an unlisted web address so Meta can fetch them.
If you use AI features, the topic and business description you enter are sent to the AI provider you chose (OpenAI or Google) with your own API key, which we store encrypted.
Removing access and deleting this data: remove an account under Auto Post → Accounts (or in Facebook → Settings → Business integrations), and delete posts under Auto Post → Posts. Deleting your InstaLeads Pro account deletes linked accounts, tokens, posts and their files. You can also ask us to delete it.
9. Changes
We'll update this page if our practices change. Material changes are announced on the dashboard.
